I am the leaseholder and my son lives in a rental property managed by M*****. On December 29th my son tried to submit a work order to have his heat fixed. It was sub freezing and the heat was not working. M***** called a heating and air company who came out about 4:45 PM and said they needed a part and the store they needed to get it from closed at 5:00 and they wouldn't be able to get it until January 2nd. I called the maintenance manger for M***** (Mike M*****) and he said he would call the manager and see what they could do, and promised to get back to me. It is now January 3rd, about 6:00 PM and every call I have placed to him has gone to voicemail and he hasn't answered any of my messages. My son called the heating and air company who told him they were still waiting on parts so he called Mike again who said the heating and air company was still closed for the holidays, an outright lie. We are experiencing record low temperatures, Wilmington may be receiving record snowfall tonight, and M***** property management has had 5 days to get his heat fixed and by all appearances, does not care the least little bit about his welfare. The are dodging my calls and lying about the reality of the situation. I am self employed and if I didn't treat my customers any better than this, I would be living on the street. There is nothing I would like better than to see Mike and Tonya M***** be forced to get jobs as greeters for Wal Mart. They probably couldn't even hold that job.
